The Architect’s Folio by Nadine Aster

Nadine Aster is the lucky first Design Team member to play with our new release The Architect pack, and she ‘s created a sensational project!

Nadine used the digital version of the pack to create a folio that opens up, revealing, pockets, tags, plans, quotes and envelopes inside!

The outside of the folio is secured with a rusty nail. What a clever touch!

The folio opens up to reveal layers of images and interactive pieces inside.

Nadine adhered three of the vintage envelopes that are in the pack and added a small vintage house plan inside each one. She also used some of the colourful tapes as a means of securing more tags and plans to the outside of the envelopes!

The folio has three main pages.

Here’s what Nadine had to say about her folio:

“When I printed out these papers, I knew I wanted to make a folio because they all looked so great together. To give the folio more stability, the base is made of cardstock with coffee stains for an aged look.

I decided on the blue paper as the cover page because it’s such an eye catcher. I made it a little shorter than the page beneath to let it peek out and so I could sew on a rusty nail as a closure.

The page beneath is folded onto itself to make a pocket on the inside. I wanted the arches as decoration on this page to continue on the opposite fold out. On the inside, I layered and attached the envelopes so they can fold up.

I finished the folio by decorating with the urns and statues and the measuring tapes and added tags.”
