Hearts Mobile by Claire Stead
Hello, it’s Claire Stead here. I’ve had so much fun playing with the new Tissue Backgrounds pack! I love these tissue designs – they’re lovely to use and are very versatile.
I made a mobile:
I began by sticking pieces of the tissue paper to watercolour paper using matt medium. Once it was dry I used pigment powders to add colours. I also sprayed a shimmer spray onto the pages once they were dry. I cut hearts of different sizes out of the coloured watercolour papers then stitched them together using my sewing machine. I used two pieces of driftwood and some sari ribbon to make the top of the mobile then attached the heart strings to the driftwood. I added handmade paper beads to the bottom.
