Christmas Journal by Casey Turner

We welcome our Guest Designer, Casey Turner, back today with a fabulous new project. Casey chose to use our stunning Weathered Walls pack to create a gorgeous journal cover.

Casey said, “I created a Christmas themed accordion journal with many Christmas type images on the one side and the journey of Jesus’ birth on the other side but, while the pages were filled, the cover was empty. When I thought about what the cover should look like, I immediately thought of one of the papers from the ArtStacks Weathered Walls pack with the white wood and the door. I knew it would be perfect with a painted wreath and tree as a representation of there being “no room in the inn” but instead of there being no room in the inn, it encourages us to make room in our hearts. I simply used acrylic paints for the wreath and tree, hand wrote the words on black paper and whitewashed the weathered wall page just a little bit so the door would pop. It made for the perfect cover for my little Christmas accordion journal.”
