Paula Perry is here today sharing an extraordinary art journal project that she made using a ‘mop up’ page that she had already started in her journal!
Paula tells us how she made her stunning page:
- I began with a stencil and layers of green paint on a white background.
- I added the rectangular border using the striped image from Claire’s Colourful World pack.
- Next I added the tissue paper text in the background from Claire’s Colourful Zine Kit pack:
- Then I adhered the image of the girl from the Colourful World pack, which I used as the focal point of my page.
- I cut out the flag banner and scalloped circles using my die cutting machine and images from the Colourful Zine Kit pack.
- I added more ink splatters and finally I edged the words that I cut out from the Colourful Zine Kit pack to use as my title. I loved using the words “Be real, Strong & Brave” as they seem fitting for what’s going on in my life right now.
And that’s it! I really had fun making this page and I have found that art journaling can be very therapeutic, too.
Wow, Paula. It’s incredibly meaningful and so beautiful. Thank you!
