Folio With a Message by Yvonne Russell
Yvonne is back with her third and last project for the week and what a beauty it is! It’s a mini folio with a positive message.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut your base piece to shape and size. Mine has three fold out sections with the third smaller flap section cut to a triangle shape.
- Cover both sides with your chosen papers or print doubled sided onto card. I used a mix of papers from Lisa Oxley’s Bright & Bold stack and her Floral Fetish stack. I added torn strips over the join inside and on the right fold of the closed folio to add interest. My title is from the Words of Wisdom MiniStack.
INSIDE LEFT PANEL
- Cut a tag and decorate as desired. Fold the paint swatches page from Lisa’s Floral Fetish stack in an accordion format and cut to size. Adhere the blank side of one panel to the tag and the other to the folio. Add a tab to the tag. There is plenty of writing space on both sides of this accordion fold out.
INSIDE RIGHT PANEL
Make a pocket and 2 torn edged tags/journal spots from the paint swatches page. I used Lisa’s digital files so I could print this page as many times as I like! Add your desired quote to the pocket. I left the pink paper behind my tags blank for more journaling space.
BACK/FRONT PANEL
Fold the back cover over to close the folio. This now becomes the front cover. The triangular flap becomes part of the closure with a ribbon. You could also add an eyelet.
